Numerous biblical quotations explain the characteristics of fake pastors, including how to spot them. A multitude of prophets have appeared in the world, each claiming to speak for God. Particularly in Africa, the number of churches and pastors has increased recently. Pastors have been known to defraud gullible congregants in certain instances.

In the modern Christian era, there are a lot of cases of mental slavery and extortion. The Bible is no longer taken seriously by Christians. These days, miracles are the main focus, and that is precisely what the pretend pastors are performing.

Here are five pastors whose outrageous actions stunned the entire globe.

Pastor Penuel

Pastor Penuel never believed that live snakes were poisonous. He coaxed his supporters to eat up the creepy crawlies. He argued that since he had once given the order for a live snake to transform into chocolate, no harm could come to anyone who consumed it. He reportedly also forced his followers to devour worms and dog meat.

His message of monogamy was also disseminated to residents of the capital city through his songs. The minister acknowledged receiving assistance for his marketing plan.

The ‘heels’ pastor

A few years back, a priest from Togo caused quite a stir on social media when he entered the pulpit donning trendy heels. The internet went bananas when many snapshots of the Togolese guy preaching were dispatched on various days, even though at first people assumed it was a hoax. The pastor’s wish was answered, according to the Zambian Observer, when he decided to wear heels. God told the “high heels pastor,” as he is now affectionately called, to start wearing heels to relieve his excruciating body aches.

Victor Kanyari, the leader of the Salvation Healing Ministry, was revealed to be a scammer by the investigative news program “Inside Story” earlier in 2014. The show exposed Mr. Kanyari’s sophisticated dramatisations, as well as those of his committed disciples who provided fictitious testimonials and staged “healings” for the congregation to support his claims.
