Controversial city preacher Victor Kanyari is turning heads this festive season, not just with his sermons but with acts of generosity that have left many Kenyans in awe.

In a video on his social media handles on December 30, Kanyari was seen giving out thousands of shillings to his church congregation as he wished them a happy festive season.
As per the video seen by Times Digital Kenya, the man of God gave one thousand Kenyan shillings to each of two people. In a queue that included young people and elderly women, Kanyari said that he wanted to bless everyone, especially during this period of celebrations.

While handing out the money, the preacher also asked the recipients to assure him whether they would be attending his church.
Prior to the Christmas Day celebrations, Kanyari also distributed foodstuffs to his church congregation.
This comes just days after Victor Kanyari revealed that he had paid for a ticket for his children, Sky and Danny, to travel to the United Kingdom.
He stated that he had covered their Shs 400,000 flight tickets and that upon their return, they would have the choice to stay with him or their stepfather, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash.

“Ni mimi tu nililipa flight ticket na wakirudi, ni wao tu wataamua ni wapi watakaa. They have the freedom to choose where they want to stay,” Kanyari said.
In the past few weeks, Prophet Victor Kanyari has been a social media sensation following the death of his ex-wife, Betty Bayo. He has been the center of attention, especially amid the dispute over the custody of his two children, who have been staying with Tash, the late Bayo’s husband.
