Victor Kanyari has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late ex-wife and mother of his two children, Betty Bayo.
Speaking during Betty Bayo’s burial event on Thursday, 20th November at Ndumberi Stadium in Kiambu, Prophet Victor Kanyari recalled how they once shared a life together.

The controversial man of God described the beautiful moments he and Betty Bayo shared during their marriage and the dreams they talked about. Kanyari added that even though his late ex-wife came from a humble background, she had big dreams even at her lowest points, and she eventually managed to fulfill them.

The pastor said that it was Betty Bayo’s ambition that made him marry her within a few months of knowing her. He further revealed that they got their first child together quickly after their marriage.

“How do I even begin to eulogize Betty Bayo, the mother of our kids? Thirteen years ago, fate helped our paths cross. We connected instantly, and within weeks, we couldn’t imagine life without each other. We would meet, visit each other, and share stories about our dreams while laughing together. I still remember the humble house you lived in, and even then, I could see the big dreams you had,” Kanyari said.
Additionally, Kanyari asked for forgiveness, citing that his brand put Betty Bayo through a lot of difficult moments.
“I am truly sorry that my brand, name, and drama put you through difficult moments!” Prophet Kanyari added.
While reading his speech, Victor Kanyari seemed to struggle as he mentioned that he isn’t very familiar with English. In what appeared to be a light moment, he said that may God help him because he found it difficult to read the speech, leaving the congregants in laughter.

“Sijui kusoma Kiingereza sana, lakini nangangana, Mungu anisaidie,” Kanyari jokingly said.
Also at the event, Betty Bayo’s children, Sky and Danny, honored their mother, and Hiram Mungai, alias Tash, the husband of the late gospel musician, also paid his respects.

The burial event was attended not only by family and friends but also by a host of political leaders, including Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, and gospel musicians.
