Raila Amolo Odinga is a Kenyan businessman and politician who served as prime minister of Kenya from 2008 to 2013 after the controversial presidential election of December 2007.
Raila Odinga was born at the Anglican Church Missionary Society Hospital in Maseno, Kisumu District, Nyanza Province on 7 January 1945 to Mary Juma Odinga and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga. Raila Odinga is a member of the Luo ethnic group. Raila Odinga attended Kisumu Union Primary, later transferred to Maranda Primary in Bondo and also Maranda High School where he studied until 1962, when he was transferred by his father to Germany.
William Ruto is the current President of Kenya and a businessman.
William Ruto went to primary school barefoot, wearing his first pair of shoes at the age of 15. William Ruto also vended chicken and groundnuts by the roadside in rural areas of the Rift Valley.
William Ruto commenced his schooling at Kamagut Primary School, then switched to Kerotet Primary School in which both of them are situated within the Uasin Gishu County; and he sat for his Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) at the latter. William Ruto continued to Wareng Secondary School in Uasin Gishu County and later Kapsabet High School in Nandi County, where he attained his Ordinary Level and Advanced Level schooling respectively.
