Who is William Ruto’s father?

William Samoei Ruto was born in Sambut village in Kamagut (now Uasin Gishu County) to Mzee Daniel and Sarah Cheruiyot.

According to the late Mzee Kibor, Ruto’s father owned a herd of cows, which provided him with milk that he supplied to the Kenya Cooperative Creameries Limited (KCC).

In addition, Mzee Daniel supplied tonnes of maize to the National Cereal Produce Board.

Mzee Daniel started off as a small-scale farmer but later advanced to a large-scale maize farmer.

Thanks to his abled children, who decided to uplift him after he sacrificed a lot for the sake of their education.

The death of Mzee Daniel Cheruiyot

Unfortunately, Ruto’s father died in 2008, when his son was the MP for Eldoret North.
