Ondiek Nyuka Kwota is a veteran Kenyan actor popularly known for his Luo accent in Vioja Mahakamani and other TV drama series in Kenya, such as Daktari.
In the Vioja Mahakamani comedy, Ondiek plays the role of a wealthy Luo villager who lives in the upmarket areas of Nairobi County.

While in an acting role, one might mistake Ondiek Nyuka for a Luo, as he effortlessly imitates the Luo accent, leading many for a long time to believe he hailed from Nyanza County. In reality, however, Ondiek, whose real name is Hiram Gitau Ngige, comes from Kenya’s Central region and is of Kikuyu origin.
Professionally, Ondiek Nyuka Kwota is a salesman, but he has had a passion for acting for decades.
According to a report by the standard, Hiram Mungai actually drifted from his professional job to acting despite earning between Sh300 to 800 per month at one point.

“….I drifted from the job into acting because it is (acting) in my blood. At some point it used to pay us between sh300 to 800 per month..”
