Opened barely three years ago in 2023, the mall is located in Eastleigh, Nairobi City. Since its establishment, the Business Bay Square (BBS) has significantly boosted the formal retail sector in the country, creating new opportunities for shopping, lifestyle activities, and dining across the region.

Business Bay Square Owner and how much it Cost him
Located opposite Pumwani Hospital in Eastleigh, Nairobi, the mall sits on 6.4 acres of land. The Business Bay Square was founded by well-known businessman Abdiweli Hassan through his company, Ten Commodities Wholesalers Limited.
The mega-project, which reportedly cost a whopping Sh25 billion, has been described as East Africa’s largest shopping complex.
Apart from his investment in Business Bay Square, Abdiweli Hassan recently signed a Sh65 billion deal that will help develop 60 acres at the Tatu City Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Features and Facilities
The Business Bay Square Mall features multiple facilities, including 3,500 shops, three hospitals, 12 banks, and 2,200 parking spaces.
The retail section houses over 1,000 stores offering electronics, fashion, home décor, and beauty products, while health facilities include major hospitals as well as beauty and skincare outlets.
Additionally, the mall includes a mosque, several entertainment zones, 32 restaurants, and office spaces. The entertainment areas feature game arcades, virtual reality experiences, bouncing castles, and a kids’ play area, among many other attractions. The mosque can accommodate over 1,500 worshippers.
