The late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s sister, Berly Achieng Odinga, has passed away.

In a post on Facebook on Tuesday the 25th, Ruth Odinga, the younger sister of Raila, announced the death of Beryl Achieng. The sister of the late Raila died at Nairobi West Hospital, as confirmed by Ruth.
However, the cause of Berly Achieng’s death has not yet been revealed. Beryl, the daughter of the first vice President Kenya, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, leaves behind three children: Ami Auma, Chizi, and Taurai.
It is with a heavy heart, but accepting the will of God, we announce the sudden passing of Beryl Achieng Odinga. Daughter to the late Hon. Jaramogi Odinga and Mama Mary Ajuma Oginga. Mother to Ami Auma, Chizi, and Taurai. Sister to Senator Oburu Oginga, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, Akinyi Wenwa, amongst others. Sister-in-law to Dr. Anne Oburu, Dr. Canon Ida Odinga, Hon. Tabu Osewe, and Judy Oburu,” Ruth Odinga said.
Ruth Odinga mourned the death of her sister, wishing her to rest in eternal peace.
“While we are deeply saddened by her demise and the immense void left in our lives, we take solace in the belief that she is safe in the Lord’s arms and are thankful for the invaluable gift of the time we were privileged to share with her, and for the profound impact she had on all who knew her.” Ruth Odinga said.
Beryl’s death comes barely a month after her elder brother, the former Premier and the ODM party founder, Raila Odinga, also passed away.

After the announcement of her untimely death, Kenyans flooded social media to mourn Berly Achieng, as seen below.
