Former Sailors Gang musician Shalkido Ga Cucu has passed away on Monday, September 6. His death comes just a day after he was involved in a serious road accident. The accident occurred on Sunday, along Thika Road. The popular Gengetone singer, who was riding a motorbike at the time, was involved in a hit-and-run accident that left him in a critical condition.
Shalkido was then rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital. According to popular comedian Obinna, the singer had broken his left leg and suffered internal bleeding in his brain, which caused swelling.
Struggles Before His Sad Death
Before the tragic accident, the former Sailors Gang musician was struggling financially, to the point of pleading with Kenyans for help. Following his plea, comedian Eric Omondi raised funds through his Sisi kwa Sisi Initiative and bought the young artist a motorbike to help him earn a living.
