The popular media personality first met Shaila in 1986 when they auditioned to be flight attendants for Pan Am World Airways.
After knowing each other for several years, Shaila married the popular JKL Live host, Jeff Koinange, in 1998.

Jeff has only one wife, Shaila, to whom he has been married for about 25 years, even though he was previously married to Sonya. The marriage between the Citizen TV journalist and Shaila came a few years after Jeff and his first wife, Sonya, divorced in 1994.

“My wife and I tried everything…the IVF, the whole shebang but it wouldn’t work for the longest time. We would be invited to friends’ houses and there would be kids in the yard playing, swimming and all that and it was tough for us having a child,” Jeff revealed during a previous interview.
