Johnson Mwakazi became popular when he was hired by Citizen TV where he was a host for their morning show.
He is well known for his eloquence and attention to detail. Mwakazi stands out from his competitors thanks to his deep, throaty voice.

In addition to working as a news anchor, he provides the ‘fantastic’ voice for various TV advertisements.
Even before he had a degree in journalism, it was his voice that got him a job at Royal Media Services.

Years after leaving Citizen TV, Johnson Mwakazi founded Royal Voice International, a media company that produces films, provides voiceover work, and also provides presentations and training.

“Nowadays, I tell myself that maybe this is where I will feed more people and generations to come,”
he said during a past interview.
What happens to be interesting is that Citizen TV still uses Johnson Mwakazi voice in some of their commercial announcements.
