Former Vice President Kalonzo continued to drum up support against President William Ruto in the coast region.
On Tuesday, the Wiper leader pitched camp in Likoni, where he was accompanied by a section of leaders from his camp. The Azimio La Umoja co-principal made several stopovers in the course of the rally where he interacted with locals of Likoni.
Kalonzo Musyoka was overwhelmed by the turnout at his rally. According to the photos shared on his social media accounts, the former VP got a warm reception. The crowds burst into songs and dances while Kalonzo addressed the nation at the anti-President William Ruto rally.
The Wiper boss has now taken to social media to appreciate the Likoni residents for their great reception.

Wooing the coast
Kalonzo’s tour in the coast region comes in the backdrop of heated up war of words between the ukambani politician and President Ruto. In the past few weeks, the two leaders have been criticizing each other in public.
Having stepped down for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the presidential candidacy in the previous elections, Kalonzo is eyeing a vie for the top seat in 2027. However, he will have a tough task to bank support from Raila’s strongholds, including the coast region. Kalonzo Musyoka will seemingly face stiff competition from President Ruto, who recently teamed up with Raila Odinga.
