Meet Cate Waruguru’s first Husband Who is a Lawyer by Profession

Former Laikipia woman representative Cate Waruguru is known for her boldness and several controversies that have been surrounding her love life. 

Waruguru who is now married to Peter Waweru has not always been afraid to showcase love and affection to her lover.

However before Cate Waruguru engaged with Waweru, she was married to a popular lawyer from Rift Valley region. In this segment, Times Digital is mainly focuses on Cate Waruguru’s (first) husband.

Cate Waruguru’s first Husband, William Kiprotich Kigen

The former Laikipia member of parliament was previously married to a Nanyuki based lawyer Kiprotich William Kiget as reported by Kenyans.co.ke.

Despite Cate Waruguru being a popular leader in Kenya, the identity of her first husband is yet to be fully revealed. 

However, according to Kenyans, Kiprotich William Kiget’s home county is Kericho and he worked as a lawyer at Nanyuki law courts. 

Also as per the report, the first husband of Cate Waruguru schooled at Kabianga high school before joining University of Nairobi and later University of Mangalore.

Cate Waruguru as the second wife of William Kiget

The vocal politician went viral in 2017 when she revealed that she was happy being a second wife as reported by The Standard. 

Waruguru said that she had no apologies for being a second wife in her first marriage.

“You will realize that I am better off if I know this is the man that I want to be with. I would like anybody to challenge me and tell me whether I am casted to go to.. because I am married as the second wife..” she said as quoted by the Standard.

Waruguru’s controversy during her first marriage

Just a few years ago, the former Laikipia woman representative was on the spot after being kicked out by a hotel in Kericho, demanding her to produce a marriage certificate.
