Nana stated that at the time, she was staying in Kitengela together with her small sister. To make it worse, she had rented an iron sheet (mabati) house. She would make house look beautiful and colorful, by putting plywood in the living room. As such, Nana Owiti would manifest living in a stone building.

“I have never really been ashamed of my roots. Kwanza, these pictures look way too good as compared to the life I previously lived. Halafu tulikuwa kwa nyumba ya mabati. MABATI! What an upgrade! Then I put plywood in the sitting room and painted, manifesting a stone house.” Nana Owiti said on her socials.

Nana Owiti, who is the wife of sensational Kenyan rapper King Kaka, says that those experiences helped shape who she is now. She doesn’t even regret passing through such a life.

“Looking back, I don’t regret a thing. I don’t even wish my troubles away. If I were to go back in time, I wouldn’t change a thing because those experiences shaped the person I am today,” she added.
