On 25 June, Kenya was rocked by national protests with angry Kenyans opposing the proposals by the government in the 2024/25 finance bill.
The demonstrations were witnessed in most parts of the country with Nairobi city being the center of attraction.
On the other hand, the government tried to contain the protests by deploying police officers in state facilities across the nation.
However, as much as the security men tried their best, the youthful Kenyans made it difficult as they invaded several government buildings in different parts.

Gen Z invaded the national assembly…
In Nairobi, where the protests witnessed thousands of Kenyans, the demonstrators forced their way into parliament as police tried to stop them in vain.
While at the buildings, the angry youths set ablaze part of the parliament while others feasted food at the canteen. They also tore the national flag and left chairs and tables upside down.
Members of parliament who were present escaped for their safety via an underground route.
City Hall set on fire
The offices of the Nairobi governor, Johnson Sakaja, were also on the spot during the Anti-Finance Bill Protests.
The buildings located at the heart of the city were set ablaze by rowdy protestors on Tuesday evening.
Airplane at Uhuru Park set ablaze
In addition to destroying the governor’s office in Nairobi, the rowdy youths in the city shifted their focus to Uhuru Park.
They went after the iconic airplane at the recreational facility and set it on fire.
The county assembly in Uasin Gishu was also set ablaze.
The offices of the county assembly which is the home of President William Ruto were also set on fire by Kenyans.
KRA office Destroyed
In conclusion, another state office in Embu County was also attacked by the demonstrators.
This is after the KRA office in Embu was destroyed and everything stolen, including desktops and furniture, as employees fled for their lives.
