Karen Nyamu
Nyamu was expelled from the Senate in 2023 for inappropriate dressing. Senator Nyamu was wearing a kitenge skirt and a black sleeveless blouse that exposed her arms, which, according to House rules, are deemed inappropriate.

Millicent Omanga
The former nominated senator has always been on the spot due to her dress code which has mostly been controversial.

During a past event in 2019, the attractive female politician wore a short dress that barely covered her knees sparking mixed reactions among social media users claiming it was her trick to attract men who were present at the event.

Omanga was asked a very similar question on a local Radio station and made it clear that she prided herself on what her mother had given to her but did not wish to shed any weight.
Gloria Orwoba
Nominated Senator Gloria was sent out to join the senate session in ‘stained’ trousers.

The lawmaker claimed she was on her menses saying the stain was a natural accident.The matter was raised on the floor of the house by Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda who said the dressing was inappropriate and even claimed the senator was a disturbed person.
Esther Passaris
A few years ago, a photo of Nairobi Women’s Representative Esther Passaris that was taken during the Miss World launch triggered a social media frenzy. In the photo, she was captured wearing a sheer Donna Karan dress that exposed her thighs.

Jared Opiyo
On 12 February 2014, the former Awendo Member of Parliament, Jared Opiyo, was ordered to leave his office for wearing an attire that exposed his arms.

Opiyo was ordered to dress accordingly before appearing in the chamber.
Mike Mbuvi Sonko
In 2011, Mike Mbuvi Sonko was expelled from the parliament for wearing jewellery and sunglasses.

In his defence, Mike Mbuvi said that he was representing the youth who vote for him.
