Known for his outspoken nature and boldness in Kenya’s politics, Kimani Ichungwah has risen from being a Mali Mali trader to one of the senior leaders in the country. Despite his fame and achievements over the years, the MP has managed to keep his family away from the public.

Kimani Ichungwah family
The majority leader comes from a family of 12 where he is the second last born.
According to local publication Kenyans.co.ke, Kimani Ichungwah father was a businessman in Gikambura village where he ran a butchery.

“My dad was a butcher for many years and he had a plot near an upcoming bus stop. I asked him to give me a small part of the plot for me to put up a butchery. I told him I wanted to leave employment by the end of that year. My dad was kind enough to give me some space and I started my business”
Ichung’wah said during a past interview.

The Kikuyu lawmaker is happily married to a beautiful lady, Alice Nyokabi Ichung’wah.

However, not so much information about Nyokabi is shared on the public domain. According to little information gathered from various sources, Alice Nyokabi is a banker by profession.
As per the reports, Kimani Ichungwah wife is the head Business Banking at the National Bank.

Ichung’wah and Alice Nyokabi who have been in marriage for several years have been blessed with three daughters. The couple has however managed to keep their daughters off the limelight and social media.
At one point, Kimani Ichungwah said that Defense Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale would take care of her children and wife in case anything bad happened to him during the alleged ‘dark’ days in the country.

“I can proudly say that he is my friend and a friend to my family. Mr. Speaker, during the past regime, I remember one time accompanied by my two daughters, I drove to Duale’s house. The following day he called my wife and told her this: ‘Since there were lots of disappearances and murders in the country, should anything happen to your husband, the children would be taken care of by Duale… “
