Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, has been in Kenya’s political arena for almost 3 decades now.
During her time at the leadership of the country, she has served as a member of Gichugu constituency, Kirinyaga county and minister of justice before her resignation.
She later ran for the presidential seat before being a running mate for Raila Odinga in Azimio la Umoja.

In addition, Martha Karua has also worked as an advocate of the high court of Kenya.

Born in Kirinyaga County, Martha Karua is the second child of a family of eight, 4 girls and 4 boys.
The former Minister is an obedient, hardworking and humble lady according to her mother, Josephine Wanjiru.
Her father Mr Jackson Karua became popular when she was nominated to be the running mate of Raila Odinga in the 2022 presidential election.

The former Minister was previously married to Doctor Charles Njoka Kamau.
However they parted ways years after staying together with less information about their relationship being revealed.
She would later be engaged with Justice GBM Kariuki.
Their relationship would not last long as it ended prematurely and led to the arrest of Kariuki who was an advocate at the court of appeal.
According to a report by the Standard, GBM Kariuki claimed that his decision to end the relationship with Karua led to his dramatic arrest.
The judge was accused of “attempting to cause the death of Robert Karori by harming him in the stomach on October 18, 2008 along Kabete Road in Spring Valley”
Since then, the two have never reconciled or considered having a relationship again.
