Governor Mwangaza then exchanged words with the police as she wanted to know what had taken them to the homestead.

She then went into the police car where she claimed to have been arrested but the officers denied the happenings citing that the governor had stage managed the event.

Now, taking to his X account, Kuria has criticized the arrest of the Meru governor citing that the incident should not be tolerated.

Kuria also likened the incident with when the jubilee government used to arrest some leaders from William Ruto.

The vocal cabinet secretary has seemingly not been impressed by the odd incident of a senior leader in Kenya being arrested in broad daylight.

“It is wrong to harass Governor Kawira Mwangaza in exactly the same way the other government was harassing some of us” Kuria said via his X account.
