“My intention is to restore it and take it to the museum at Kango ka Jaramogi,” Raila Odinga Junior said.

Raila Odinga Junior responded to Propesa TV on X, revealing what will happen to his father Raila Odinga’s Hummer.

This comes after an X user, Propesa TV, announced that the car was sent parking barely two months after the death of the former Prime Minister.

Raila Odinga Jnr’s move on the Hummer car sparked reactions on social media, with a huge section commending him for a perfect plan.

Here is a sample of the reactions:

Arthur Guinness: “Good projection. I can handle that assignment thoroughly and restore NYUNDO.”

Another X user, M’marete, urged Raila Junior to make the plan earlier before it loses its appeal: “Do it earlier before it loses its appeal.”

Patrick Mulkit: “That’s a noble idea. I like your reasoning.”

James Laban: “Give it to me! It wouldn’t help so much if taken to a museum.”

Ken Njagi: “That is the way to go, Sir!”

History behind the Raila Hummer car

In 2007, the late former Prime Minister acquired the Hummer for his campaigns during the run-up to the General Election that year. Flamboyant Nairobi businessman Don Bosco Gichana bought the car for the late ODM leader.

The multi-million-shilling car became the talk of the town at the time, with Raila nicknaming it “Nyundo,” the Swahili word for hammer.

According to Robert Wafula Buke, who was a vital member of Raila’s presidential campaign team in 2007, the Hummer was a game-changer in that particular campaign, as it gave Mr. Odinga significant visibility across the country.
