According to a report by the star, the head of state bought his first car after selling a piece of land.

Who gave Ruto the land?
During a past interview, William Ruto revealed that the late president Daniel arap Moi awarded him a piece of land together with other University students.

Ruto would later sell the piece of land in Eldoret and he used the money to buy his first car.

“Moi was a very generous, giving man. Maybe some of us learnt that giving from him or he may have influenced us in some way. I remember my first interaction with Moi… a few of us students asked him to give us a piece of land in Eldoret and he actually did…he actually gave us. We later sold the piece of land. With that piece of land, I bought my first car” Ruto said during a past interview as quoted by The Star.
Now, President Ruto has a huge car collection in his garage thanks to his hard work over the years despite coming from a humble background Apart from cars, William Ruto has vast businesses and properties in his name, hence proving that hard work and persistence is the key to success.
