CS Kuria’s Message After Governor Kawira’s Impeachment Raises Eyebrows


 

Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has now reacted moments after Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza was impeached. 

The embattled Governor was ousted by Members of County assembly in a motion held on 25 October.

Out of the 69 MCAs in Meru county, 59 of them voted in support of the impeachment of the area Governor.

Now, Kuria has publicly stood with Kawira Mwangaza who has had tough times in recent days. 

While taking to his X account, the vocal Cabinet Secretary has claimed that the impeachment of Kawira is a well calculated move by a certain leader in Mt Kenya region. 

Kuria further alleged that the intention of the leader (who he didn’t not name) is to be the Mt Kenya Kingpin and the only way is to bring other leaders from the region down.

“I stand with Governor Kawira Mwangaza. This is an evil scheme by someone who thinks that the only way to be a Mt Kenya Kingpin is to bring down other leaders not to solve the problems of our people who are getting desperate by the day. History will vindicate me.. “Kuria said via his X account. 

Moses Kuria and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua ‘rivalry’ 

The said rivalry between Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and CS Moses Kuria started when the former criticized the latter for his remarks on fuel prices in Kenya.

This saw CS Kuria being moved from his Trade docket to the Public Service ministry.

Now, CS Kuria’s Message following Kawira Mwangaza’s impeachment is seemingly seen as a direct target to DP Gachagua.

This is as Gachagua has in the recent days called for Mt Kenya unity and urged every leader from the region to rally behind him.
