Kelvin Hills, a Facebook user, was in grappling shock and sorrow after discovering a newborn baby abandoned. He found the toddler at the thickets near Nginduri, Kinoo. The infant, appearing healthy, is believed to have been born only a few hours before being found by the man.
The Good Samaritan then rushed the baby to the police station in Kinoo. He further urged the residents of the region to help locate the mother of the toddler.

It’s not clear on the child’s health condition at the moment. Therefore, a special (medical) check is needed. The child’s gender was not revealed.
Reactions
After the photos of the abandoned infant went viral online, social media was quick to react. A section requested to adopt the baby and take care of him while others criticised the reckless mother for reckless behavior.
This case comes as there has been an increase in issues of child neglect and abandonment. The government and local authorities have put measures in place to help curb such cases. As such, the state aims at reducing unwanted pregnancies through counselling, education, and support.
