Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has condoled with the family of the late Senator Gerald Otieno Kajwang following the passing of his widow, Dr. Rose Kajwang.
In a statement released on Tuesday, November 3, Wanga sent her message of condolences to the entire Kajwang family, including TJ Kajwang, Peter Kajwang, and other family members. This came as the Homa Bay County boss visited the home of the deceased, where she comforted the family.
Wanga encouraged the family to find strength and courage during this time of sorrow.
“We condoled with the family of the late Senator Gerald Otieno Kajwang following the passing of his spouse, Dr. Rose Kajwang. To the family, including Senator Moses Kajwang, Hon. TJ Kajwang, Hon. Peter Kajwang, and the entire Nyakwamba family — may you find strength to overcome this loss,” Gladys Wanga said.
Kenyans joined Gladys Wanga in mourning with the Kajwang family across various social media platforms.
“My condolences to the family and friends. May she rest in peace,” wrote Dianarose Okumu, sending her sincere sympathies.
Another social media user, Mwiti Desmond, prayed that God would stand with the family during this difficult period. “My condolences to the entire Nyakwamba family. May God stand with you during this trying time.”

Dr. Rose Kajwang passed away on October 30, 2025, after a short illness.
