The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), through Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, has announced the death of a party official. Taking to his official social media platforms on 10 October, Governor Abdulswamad confirmed the passing of Peter Odhiambo, popularly known as “Rainbow.”
Peter Odhiambo served as the Mombasa County Organizing Secretary of the ODM party.
“On behalf of our Party Leader, H.E. Raila Amolo Odinga, I convey our deepest condolences to the ODM family and the people of Mombasa following the passing of our County Organizing Secretary, Peter ‘Rainbow’ Odhiambo,” the Mombasa Governor said.
Abdulswamad Nassir described Odhiambo as a committed and passionate mobilizer whose dedication to the ideals of justice, unity, and service left an indelible mark on the ODM party in Mombasa County. The Mombasa County boss further noted that Peter “Rainbow” Odhiambo’s loyalty and unwavering belief in the cause of the people will be greatly missed.
Kenyans on social media also joined the ODM party in condoling with the family of the deceased.
