Former Citizen TV journalist Willis Raburu has quit TV47 according to reports reaching Times Digital news desk.
The charismatic media personality who had worked with the Cape Media TV station for only 9 months, will now be joining international media house CNN.

Raburu was among the top media personalities who joined TV47 in the recent months but now he will seemingly be looking for greener pastures somewhere else.

He will be joining fellow Kenyan Journalists Larry Madowo and Victoria Rubadiri (who quit Citizen TV less than a week ago) at CNN.
As I bid farewell to the TV47 family, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude for the remarkable growth we’ve achieved together over the past few months

While at TV47, Raburu was the host of youthful Friday show, Wabebe experience.

The show was inspired by 10 over 10 which he first co-hosted at Citizen TV together with Joy Muthengi.

In the segment, he hosted top musicians in the country where they interacted with their fans on live TV.
However after working at the station for less than a year, Raburu took a break from the show. When questioned about his decision for not hosting Wabebe experience for several weeks, he informed his fans of a huge comeback.

TV47 has been a force to reckon with in the past few months as they poached renowned media personalities from rival stations with an aim to dominate the airwaves.

But Willis Raburu’s departure is seen as a setback given the fact that he was arguably one of the few journalists that pulled a huge audience at the star-studded TV station.

Now, just after his response, it is reported that Willis Raburu is heading to CNN.
