Kithure Kindiki’s 4 elder Brothers Who are All Professors

Apart from being the second most powerful politician in Kenya after President William Ruto, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is also highly educated, holding a PhD and serving as a professor.

Kindiki comes from a family of scholars, with his four elder brothers being professors and his four sisters following the same path in education.

The four brothers of the Deputy President are Jonah Nyaga, Isaiah Iguna, Stephen Kithinji, and Moses Mpuria.

Individual Profiles of the 4 Kindiki brothers

Professor Jonah Nyaga

Jonah, the eldest of the Kindiki brothers, received his PhD from the University of Birmingham in 2004 in the United Kingdom.

He is a Professor of International Education and Policy. Additionally, Jonah Nyaga Kindiki is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Moi University and has supervised 174 master’s degrees and 40 PhDs to completion.

Professor Moses Mpuria

Moses Mpuria Kindiki is a Political Economy and Development researcher. The professor teaches at Maasai Mara University.

Professor Stephen Kithinji

Kithinji Kindiki is a Professor of Linguistics at Daystar University. Kithinji has also lectured in English Grammar, Phonology, First and Second Language Acquisition, Psycholinguistics, as well as Sociolinguistics.

Professor Isaiah Iguna

Isaiah Iguna Kindiki is an expert in Soil Science and a professor in that field. In addition to his academic prowess, Prof. Iguna is the Vice Chancellor of KCA University.

Kithure Kindiki

Although Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is known politically, he is also well educated just like his elder brothers. Kindiki, who scored a C in the KCSE exams, obtained a Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law and is a law degree holder (LLB) from Moi University.

The former Interior Cabinet Secretary also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree and a Doctorate in International Law (PhD, Int. Law) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
